Provisional Itinerary (Subject to change)
Day 1: Friday 24th August
We collect you from your home or guest house in the city and head along the N7 towards Clanwilliam, a distance of 300km. A lunch stop will be made in the town (optional).
A visit to Ramskop Botanical Garden will be made as well as a visit to a Rooibos Tea Shoppe. We will arrive at our accommodation near Vanrhynsdorp in the late afternoon. Dinner at lodge. (D)
Day 2: Saturday 25th August
Today we travel 391km to Springbok, stopping to view spring flowers along the way. We settle into our home for the next three nights in Springbok. (B:D)
Day 3: Sunday 26th August
This morning we have a guided tour of an old copper mine in O’Kiep, followed by a visit to Orbicule Hill outside O’Kiep. A visit to the Hester Malan Flower Reserve will be made near lunchtime – optional picnic lunches will be pre-ordered (B:D) (Park entrance).
Day 4: Monday 27th August
After breakfast we head to Kamieskroon, a distance of 67km from Springbok. Today we visit the Namaqua National Park including the Skilpad Wildflower Reserve—optional picnic lunches will be pre-ordered. (B:D) (Park Entrance)
Day 5: Tuesday 28th August
We take our leave of Springbok this morning and travel to Vanrhynsdorp where we will visit the Kokerboom Nursery, a succulent nursery. We will overnight at the same Lodge used on our outbound journey. (B:D)
Day 6: Wednesday 29th August
Before leaving Vanrhynsdorp we will have a visit to the Old Jail—a prison established in 1895 lovingly restored by a local man! Time to shop for succulents before we head back to Cape Town (a lunch stop will be made—own account) en route to the city.
On arrival in the City we will be met by our onward transport to shuttle you back to your homes or local accommodation.
