One of the TRUE GEMS of the Western Cape is BABYLONSTOREN. Over the years this has grown & grown and yet I am still astounded that many Capetonians have not yet been there! Time Out last visit in March 2011 so for the “New” ladies a re-visit but one with a difference! On our arrival you will have the opportunity to browse the estate – from the Babylonstoren Shop (one with a difference) to the Greenhouse (where you can have a coffee – own account) OR at 11.30 am you can join the walk around on a guided tour (I was only able to reserve 10 places!!) of their Special Collection Tour – You will be taken to see their succulent collection or the cycads next to the stream or go for a walk through the Healing Garden.
I need numbers upfront who would like to do the Special Collection Tour – PLEASE let me know by Monday 11th March.
We will enjoy lunch at Zorgvliet which is only 13kms from Babylonstoren. They have given us a good menu and Time Out has yet to go to this restaurant with the awesome views! They are based in the Banhoek Valley, a perfect place to sit and relax over lunch!
