COST SAVING VENTURE
every bit helps...

At the start of each new year we are faced with price increases which have a direct bearing on the calculated outing price for each trip offered. There is always much "head scratching" and discussion on how to maintain a high standard at an acceptable price.
The two main price "drivers" are transport and the meal. We have considered using cheaper coaches, but with this comes the risk of failure and lack of backup in problem times.
We have also looked at cheaper meals at less attractive venues, but  concluded that the saving would only be minimal (R30-R40 per meal?).
Obviously the highest cost item is the coach and to cover this cost we need to fill as many seats as possible. Hereby rests the possibility of a cost saving of around 30% to members who participate.
An opportunity exists to reduce your monthly outing cost by R100.
All you need do is one of the following:

(1) Bring along a friend (potential new member) who pays the normal rate. (Or you can each deduct R50). Only 10 spaces will be available on the coach.
I need to have 34 people booked on the trip, and then I am able to release the remaining 10 seats at a reduced price.
So, if you have a friend you want to introduce to Time Out, telephone me and find out the current booking situation!

(2) This can also work for Members. Every month that the outing attendance is above 34, I will do a draw on the coach and a maximum of 10 members will get a refund of R100 or a credit towards their next outing.

Remember the base is 34, so if we have 38 on the coach, then 4 passengers will get the benefit; 40 passengers = 6 will get reduction, etc, etc. (A maximum of 10 reductions per trip (Members / Visitors combined)

This is all about sharing costs; the more people who attend, the more I can try to
reduce costs.
