The
Trip today has been structured
around “Being A Proud South
African and More Importantly a
Proud Capetonian”
Our first stop today will be at
Cape
Talk, part of the
Prime Media group which plays a
huge part in every person’s life
who lives in this awesome city
of Cape Town. We get to meet the
announcers – not too sure yet
who will ‘be on air’ but it
could be
Aden Thomas / Soli Philander
/ Redi Direko……our
tour is one hour long – from
10h00 – 11h00. |

After all the World Cup vibe, it is time to focus once more
on the absolute beauty
of our city and what
better way to do this
than on the
Wheel of Excellence.
Much like the UK’s
“London Eye” the giant
50m Hisense Wheel of
Excellence is currently
changing the mother
city’s skyline! The giant observation wheel, a first for Cape Town and South
Africa, is a unique way
to savour a panoramic
birds-eye view of Cape
Town, Table Mountain and
Robben Island.
Sporting 36
fully-enclosed
and
air-conditioned
cabins, you get to appreciate the views on a 15 minute round
trip. |
|
 |
 |
|
After all this I feel sure you will all be ready for a
‘bite-to-eat’ and what
better place than
Docks Restaurant
on the
V&A Waterfront.
Formerly known as
Berties Landing it is
the home of the seal
pen, the resting place
for local marine life as
well as the Robben
Island ferries which
transport hundreds of
tourists to and from the
Island, departing just
in front of this
restaurant. |
|
|
|
|
Cost for the day
(transport and lunch) is
R320 per person.
(Guests R340)
The Wheel of Excellence
is an optional R70 per
person
(This is a
special group price)
Please book by Monday 2nd
August &
payments by Tuesday 10th
August.
Coach will leave Constantia at
08h30 (earlier today) &
Tableview at 09h15.
This will
allow us to go directly
to Cape Talk Radio
Station. (10h00 start)
|
Note the Date
for our August
trip has been
changed to THE
THIRD WEEK OF
THE MONTH
because several
of our members
are going on the
Desert Express,
leaving
Cape Town in the
FOURTH WEEK of
August. |
