TIMEOUT - Future Outings

                               THURSDAY 25TH AUGUST '11

Bo Kaap Kombuis
BO KAAP CAPE TOWN

Perched high on the Bo Kaap Hill is a restaurant where Yusuf and Nazli serve traditional Malay food.  It has stunning views of Table Mountain and the city below. It is high time that Time Out visited Bo Kaap again.  In Nazli I have found great enthusiasm to host our group.  We leave Tableview at 08h45 and our pick up in Constantia is 09h30.  I thought we would do the long road around taking in the wonderful views of Hout Bay, Llandudno and coming back into the city by 10h30.

On arrival at the Bo Kaap Kombuis Yusuf will give us a brief history talk of the BoKaap area. Then Nazli will take over and together with a few of her friends, we will be split into groups and taught how to fold our own samoosas.  These will be cooked in the kitchen for your starter.  This will be followed by a traditional Malay meal all with stunning views of Table Mountain.  August is traditionally a cold, wet day and what better way than to sit and enjoy lovely spicy food indoors?!

Cost for the day which includes your transport, samoosa class
