LINDA DOWNS - 12th March 2011

In January Linda was admitted to a Cape Clinic ICU in a serious condition, with suspected double pneumonia. For 50 days it was touch & go as to whether she would pull through! Visitations were limited to her family who travelled from London to be at her bedside for a few days. We managed to see her on her first day and again when she was on the mend but unable to speak, (around 46 days later).
Yesterday  Linda was moved out of ICU and is well on the way to a full recovery. She is still in the Clinic where we visited her yesterday, during a very emotional reunion. Linda is now able to communicate again, so can receive phone calls and visitors. Please call us for her contact details. We are certain she would love to hear from you.
22nd March 2011
Linda is now home and beginning her recuperation. She is gaining strength daily and has already had some visitors. She does have assistance from a live in Nurse.

MARY HONEYBUN - 12th March 2011

In January Mary was featured in the You Magazine (above left), due to her involvement with the "bread tags for wheel chairs" campaign.
Mary has had a problematic hip (previous replacement), which has become dislocated on 2nd March. An unsuccessful attempt was made to correct the situation and she is seeking further medical opinion, before deciding on a course of action.
Mary would appreciate your contact. Details available from Carol. Click "Contact us".
